Last two weeks

The last two weeks have seen members enjoy an evening at bounce and a farm tour around a pig farm.

Members at bounce enjoyed a good game of dodgeball and a nice new pair of socks 😜

During the farm tour members had to wear blue overalls and white paper shoes, to reduce the risk of transfer off diseases.

After there was a BBQ and refreshments for members.

County Annunal General Meeting and Prize Giving - Wednesday 11th November

Last Wednesday meeting was the County AGM whereby our new County officers were elected.

Each County Federation of Young Farmers has a Chairman, Vice Chairman, President and Treasurer. These spaces are usually filled by people out of Young Farmers age, who have been a Young Farmer themselves.

This year Oonagh Oneil has been our County Chairman , here role is to support all the Clubs in Bedfordshire , her Vice Chairman was Dave White and he has now taken the role of Chairman for the forthcoming year with Janine Hudson as Vice.

Annie Sinnott was re-elected as the Bedfordshire President and Brendan Sturgeon as the Treasurer.

The prize giving at the end of the evening saw Silsoe come away with the most Efficent Secretary Cup and the best Treasurer (well done Tom). We also won the attendance cup which is awarded to the club who has the most members attending county events.

Silsoe also came 4th in the competitions cup and =2nd in the sports cup and was 3rd in the most Efficent club competition.

They also announced the results of the tin can alley sculpture which we put up a few weeks ago. Silsoe won the bale sculpture last year with our teddy bear and managed to win again this year with our show jumping horse!!

We also managed to come 2nd in the come dine with me competition which was run for the first time this year.

Well done to everyone involved in all competitions and to all the members who took officer positions last year who help us to have such a successful year!
