Brewery Trip

Aside from the weekly meetings there is also a great social aspect to Being a Young Farmer.

Last night Silsoe YFC headed into Ampthill to visit the local micro-brewery.

After hearing all about how the business started from Mary and Pete and finding out how the real ale is made, members were able to sample the 3 real ales that the brewery currently make.

Mary and Pete also laid on some nibbles for members and at the end of the visit, members had the chance to buy some of the brewed ale.

A collection of pots, dishes and even a lochness monster were among the finished products.

After spending the hour decorating their creations they were finally judged.

Milly and Ben were the runners up!

And Sofia was the winner!!
